Have you ever been electrocuted? let me take you back to a time when i was 7.

one sunny afternoon, my brothers and i decided to try an experiment and guess who stepped up as the “guinea pig”, me.

what was the experiment you ask ? … we wanted to see if we could transmit electricity through a human body, so we grabbed an extension cord and took it apart. all we really needed was the plug and cord parts of it.

the plan was to plug the device into a socket and one of us would grab the positive and negative tips of the wire that was connected to the plug, which would be plugged into the socket.

since i was the mastermind of this experiment, it was only right that i stepped up.

so i grabbed the tips and signaled for my brothers to plug in the device in. three to five seconds later, i found myself on a love seat because i was flung about seven feet across the living room to the chair.

i would argue that the experiment was a success. it met the acceptance criteria, which was the possibility of electric current to flow through a human body.

mvp achieved, now all we had to do was iterate.

why am i telling this story you ask? i started designing these “electricity monsters“ and i see them as iterations of this experiment that began years ago. i figured that i’ll make these “electricity monsters“ that can efficiently transmit and store electricity.

that experience definitely put “electricity monsters“ in my head. ⚡️⚡️
